Black colored eyes are almost always associated with an evil creature of some sort. If you’ve decided to get black colored contacts then you might already have in mind the look or character you are going for. You might be creating your own version of an evil creature, or you might be going to some character that already exists with black colored eyes.
Here we will go over some of the more popular types of characters that usually sport black colored eyes, with the help of black contacts in most cases, and some specific examples as well. As always, we appreciate the feedback from our readers if you can think of any we can’t, and I’m sure there are a lot! So let’s get started.
Demons from Supernatural
Anytime someone is taken over by a demon spirit on the WB show Supernatural, you can tell when their eyes turn black. It’s a quick way of knowing who you are dealing with. There have been many examples where the demon has black eyes, but they can switch them back to normal eyes at any time, so it’s not a sure-fire way of knowing.
They usually turn their eyes black when they are showing off, or identifying themselves after they’ve been had. If you are going for a demon look for a costume or Halloween party then turning your eyes black will definitely push your costume to the next level.

Real Aliens
Time and time again when someone has reported that they’ve been abducted by aliens in real life, they will usually draw the same type of appearance when asked how they look.
If they are describing them they will usually say that the aliens had large oval pointy black eyes, so you have to wonder if there is something up with that. It could be mass delusion, or there could be something to it. (Twilight zone music playing in the background)
If you are going for an alien look, most of the time you would buy the actual mask which will no doubt have the large black eyes as part of the costume, but if for some reason you don’t have them already, a pair of nice theatrical black contacts that cover your entire iris and sclera will be perfect.

Vampires (30 Days Of Night pictured)
There have been many portrayals of vampires since they were first created. They can be allergic to sunlight, or just sparkle when it hits them. There are a basic set of rules that they typically set to, but none are absolute.
Many times the vampires will be shown with dark black eyes portraying their true level of evil and bad intent. Vampires have been known to have many different eye colors from red to yellow, blue and silver, but black is one of the more popular.
If you are going to be a vampire for a costume or Halloween party then getting a nice pair of black colored contacts to really add an extra style to it. Turning your eyes black really shows that you are serious about your look because anybody can get a regular pair of fangs and cape, but getting those nice dark black evil looking contacts shows that you went the extra mile, and it really does make a big difference.

Possessed People (HBO’s True Blood pictured)
Someone being possessed by a demon will usually have signs they are under the demon’s spell. Having black eyes is one of the most common traits, although I’ve seen it be other colors as well. Most recently on HBO’s True Blood anyone who was put under the spell of an evil creature/character Maryann was completely transformed into an evil minion with no control of their own. True Blood Contact Lenses would need to cover the entire eye, also know as Black Out Contacts.
Their eyes would turn black the entire time and they would act out like crazy people. At one point in the show she had almost the entire town controlled. I won’t give away her fate for those of you who haven’t seen it, but like any evil creature, she obviously didn’t kill everyone and ruin the show. Black eyes are used often for being under the spell or control of an evil creature because it is an easy way to signify they have lost control.
